THE MERCHANDISER TRAINING PROGRAM (MTP)
Program Overview
The Merchandiser Training Program graduates qualified textile merchandisers ready for employment through our market driven training program based on sector needs. Participants will be trained in the basics of the textile industry, the role of the merchandiser and integrated business skills. Upon successful completion of the 3 month program, participants will be employed as textile merchandisers with prominent textile companies in Egypt.

The Position of the Merchandiser

• Oversee production to insure timely delivery as required by clients
• Coordinate product development
• Coordinate order planning
• Oversee purchase of raw materials & accessories
• Coordinate shipping and logistics
• Follow up and collect payments
• Increase company sales both horizontally and vertically

Application Process
To apply for the program you must:
• Fill in and submit the online application form at www.efeonline.org by clicking on the EFE Egypt: TEXTILE MERCHANDISER Participant Application link
• Pass the English Placement Exam which will be scheduled with selected applicants who have applied
• Pass the Soft Skills Assessment Session
• Pass EFE-Egypt Interview
• Pass Employer Interview
Applicants who have filled in the application form and are eligible for the program will be contacted by EFE-Egypt

Applicant Qualifications
To be eligible for the Textile Merchandiser Program applicants must:
• Have lower Intermediate English language proficiency
• Be between the ages of 20 and 28
• Have a University degree
• Be unemployed (unable to get a job)
• Have successfully completed military service, exempted or postponed (Male applicants only)

Preference will be given to applicants who have participated in community service/volunteer work.
Exceptions to the above criteria will be made for special talents and skills

Course Duration: 3 months, six days a week (Saturday to Thursday), eight hours per day

Venue: Round one in Cairo – future rounds across Egypt

Participant Payment
a. Commitment Fee: 150 LE
b. Alumni Fee: 5% of monthly income for one year

Salary Expectations:
Successful graduates will receive competitive salaries as textile merchandisers

Employment:
Graduates will receive employment upon successful completion of the 3 month program
